Introduction to Early Help and Thresholds for Intervention

This course is suitable for all staff at Levels 1,2 and 3 who work with or come into contact with children and families, including those who manage staff working at Levels 1,2 and 3.

Please note, if your organisation has a large number of staff requiring this course, it might be more suitable to request a separate course for your team. We can deliver the course at your site for up to 30 delegates. Please contact us via BUYDoncaster for information.

Description

From the 1st of September this course will be mandatory for all professionals to attend and will count as Level 3 training for those staff who require Safeguarding updates.

Outcomes

The course aims to achieve the following outcomes for participants:
  • To have an understanding of what Early Help is and when it is required by applying the threshold guidance.
  • Knowing when a referral to Children's Social Care is the appropriate response to the presenting concern.
  • Using learning from Serious Case Reviews to improve practice.
  • Use of the Signs of Safety Terminology
