Managing Allegations Against Professionals - The role of the Local Authority Designated Officer


This is a Level 3 training course aimed at professionals who have management responsibility for staff.


This course will give you an overview of how to manage allegations of professionals in conjunction with the Local Authority Designated Officer.

The management of allegations against professionals can be a complex process consisting of 3 strands,
  • A police investigation of a criminal offence.
  • Enquiries and assessments of children social care
  • Consideration by an employer of disciplinary action.

This course will provide an insight to each of the above.
