1.1 To understand current research findings in relation to the prevalence and nature of domestic abuse between young people. 1.2 To consider common attitudes held by young people towards domestic abuse and how to engage and challenge. 1.3 To explore some of the reasons why it is difficult for young people to recognise and disclose abuse in relationships. 1.4 To understand some of the ways in which young people may behave in response to abuse. 1.5 To understand the importance of risk assessment and safety planning. 1.6 To understand the importance of child protection measures and of working with other relevant agencies and to clarify the MARAC pathway in relation to young people.
