Give your class the opportunity to experience the natural world around them; offering an outdoor space to learn through active movement. Outdoor learning impacts on academic, personal and social development and increases wellbeing and mental health.
Children will learn new skills, reflect and learn about themselves and others whilst gaining new knowledge and understanding. Skills and knowledge learnt can be applied in class and visa-versa.
Our outdoor learning environment can support the holistic development of children in some of the following ways:
Do you want to increase your pupils’ PULSE?
P - Physical - being active, keeping safe
U - Understanding - problem solving, learning through play
L - Language - talking and listening, ‘I wonder why’
S - Social - sharing, playing, and understanding others
E - Emotional - encouragement, talking about feelings
We can offer bespoke child led sessions to match your curriculum needs. Activities such as den building, nature art and trails can be linked to some of your favourite stories, e.g. The Gruffalo; it’s a Bear, Hungry Caterpillar and Stig of the Dump. We will tailor each session to your own requirements. All sessions finish by bringing the group back together around the fire and sharing popcorn.
Sessions take place from 10:00 - 14:00 and are for upto 30 children.
